​     I am Satomi Watanabe from Japan. I entered into the entertainment industry in 2008. I worked with sound and lighting at a live production company while studying psychology in Waseda University, Japan. After graduating, I started to work for Sunphonix Inc., as an Avid products dealer. I supported sound editors and recording engineers as a Pro Tools specialist at major recording studios and broadcasting stations. From 2011, I became an on-site Pro Tools support staff member at NHK (Japanese’s largest government-owned broadcasting Station). There I engaged in maintaining and upgrading audio systems and setting up studios.

     Through the 4-year-work experience, I decided to change my career from a support staff to a creator. In addition, I would like to challenge in a foreign country. I finished the Broadcasting – Television program in Seneca College this summer and currently work as a freelance video editor.
